Is the event family-friendly?

Yes! The event is designed for people of all ages to learn about and celebrate Día de los Muertos.

What type of food is available at the event?

We are excited to offer traditional Día de los Muertos items such as Day of the Dead Bread and Mexican Hot Chocolate, as well as a variety of other Mexican foods served in vendor tents and food trucks!

When should I arrive for my screening of COCO?

Screening registration does not guarantee your space at the screening, but ticketholders will be prioritized in the preferred seating area. We suggest that you arrive early to claim a space. Other seating is first comes first served.

Do I need to show my Day Pass ticket at the event to enter the park?

This event is free and open to the public, so you do not need to show your Day Pass ticket in order to enter the park. Registration does not guarantee access to all event offerings and activities, but helps us plan so we can offer our guests a positive experience.

Can pets come?

Service animals may attend. Other pets are not permitted at the event. 

What’s the parking situation like?

There is limited street parking near the event. We encourage attendees to take the metro (McPherson Square is less than one block away!), use a ride share app, other public transportation. If you wish to drive, we recommend that you identify a nearby parking garage ahead of the event. 

Where’s the nearest metro stop?

McPherson Square is the nearest stop (less than a block away from Franklin Park) for gray, blue, and orange lines. For the red line, Metro Center is the nearest stop (0.3 miles). For yellow and green lines, Gallery Pl-Chinatown is the closest stop (0.5 miles)
